here is our situation

My wife and I make a little more than enough to qualify for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. I had a loss in income, and my wife wants to stay at home with our son. Our son is in daycare for 10 hours per day, and we no longer want to live like this. If my wife quits her job to stay at home with the kids, will the court come back on us?

We are also overwhelmed with debt currently.

Isn’t that what bankrupty is, to have a fresh start?

Hi, my good credit was ruined by a divorce and a loss of a job in feb2009. I was making ,000 a year so the judge thought he would give me ALL the marital debt, then i lost my job about a month later. I was at that job for 5 years. I bought my own house and expedition with nothing down, if that tells you a little about how my credit was. Then i lost my job, and had to file bankruptcy just so i would not loose my house, and then of course my ex fought me on the bankrupty and it got dismissed, but of course my credit has already been ruined. I make good money again, but im just trying to play catch up, and i am married again to a wonderful man, and the only thing we fight about is money that is it! For my entire life i was the one to ALWAYS help others and now, at my time of need there is no one. So does anyone know of any place online or whatever that will finance Christmas gifts even when you have pathetic credit if you can indeed prove your income? I could care less if i get anything, but my girls are still young, and i want to do something for my husband so bad, for what all he went through just because he loved me so much. Thanks for reading!

I have around 00 there right now at Gmac online savings. I have around 00 in INGDIRECT online savings account. Well the interest rates you know have dropped. However, Ingdirect offers 2.374% and Gmac gives me 2.956% at the moment. A month ago Ing was 2.7% and Gmac was 3.45% along those lines. I had ingdirect for around 1 year and love it because it is so easy to use. Gmac is good as well.

I know the difference now is small between GMAC 2.956% and INGDIRECT 2.374% which is around 0.6%. I was thinking about transferring all the money i have in ingdirect into gmac bank b/c it gives a bit more in terms of interest. However, i read something that Gmac may file for bankruptcy 2 months ago i think.

Is my money 100% safe? I know it is FDIC insured up to 0,000 but i just want to make sure. I do not want to lose 00 b/c that is all the money i have at this moment.

Thank you.

And if circuit city cant finance me, does anyone know of any laptop rent places, online, or near Clifton park, NY?? Any help would be appreciated asap.

Or …. They don’t get discharged?? I know chapter 7 will not apply to student loans… but chapter 13 yes….. HELP PLEASE!

If a person had a summary judgment against them for a credit card debt, could it be wiped out through a chapter 7 bankruptcy, or would he still somehow be required to pay it, even if he had no job, no money in his bank account, and no major assets (car, house, etc)?

I declared bankruptcy 5 years ago due to medical bills. Since then I have had no positive marks on my credit report, but no negative ones either. I’ve been working a steady job for 4 years now, and make a decent amount of money, but due to having to pour it into repairing my car, I havn’t been able to save up more than 00. I just moved into a new apartment where I am now paying very little rent, and I am making decent money, but my car really needs to be replaced. What would my best bet be? I currently make 45 monthly, 0 goes to rent, to cell phone bill, 0 to utilities. I read about buy here pay here dealerships and would like that to be my last resort. Are those companies that offer bad credit loans online legit? Or am I just going to be bombarded with spam with no end results? Thanks for any help!

I have really bad credit. I have a few judgments against me, and a bunch of unsecured debt. I am planning on elisting in the navy this week. I took a practive ASVAB today and did really good. My actual ASVAB test is next week. I was wondering if i filed bankruptcy before i sign my life to the navy if it would come back to bit me in the rear.

I am doing a Thesis on ‘Online Databases for Public Use’ and after doing much research I obviously have 100’s of websites. On the off chance I missed a good one, who knows or uses Online Databases to gain access to public files. The Database needs to contain some or all of –

• Death Records Database
• Marital Records Database
• Criminal Records Database
• Inmate Records Database
• Arrest Records Database
• Absconder Records Database
• Jail Records Database
• Sentencing Files
• Parolees
• Most Wanted Criminals
• Sex Offender Records Database
• Mugshots
• Missing Children & Adults
• Court Records Database
• Civil Records Database
• Bankruptcy Records Database
• People Census Records Database
• Cell Phone Trace
• People’s Addresses
• People’s Phone Numbers
• People’s Location information

I know its a bit of a long-winded question but do your best!

My mother filed for Ch 13 several years ago and has passed away in November. NOw that things have started to settle I am tending to all her loose ends. Will I have to continue to pay this debt?

She did not own any houses, or have much assets.

I tried applying for student loans through the banks my online college works with but was denied and the bank will not accept another application, even with a co-signer, because I have a past bankruptcy.
When I called the college for other financial options they said they will not take FAFSA or any federal grants or loans. And I know I will not qualify for a private loan. It appears I have no options left other than to not attend school. My college has little help to offer and never return my calls asking for assistance in getting me somehow registered. Is there anything else I can do?

I’ve had a hard time the past couple of years. From having an unexpected surgery that cost over 27K to temporary unemployment and then a low paying job. I am thinking of going for chapter 13 bankruptcy since I got a better paying job now and I know I can’t file for a chapter 7. However, I’m worried because the lawyers have asked me for 6 months of bank statements and for the past 5 months I have been living with my parents and not really paying for anything other than my living expenses. At that point it was useless to pay anything to my credit cards since by then they wanted me to pay all or half of my debt to them. Now I have a job and I finally got my own place. I guess my question is; if I take the bank statements and they see that out of the 6 months I’ve only had big living expenses in the past month, would this have a negative effect in my outcome? I’m not asking for a chapter 7. I do wanna pay my debtors, I just can’t pay all of it. By now its almost 50K with medical bills and credit cards. Thank you for your answers.
