I need to borrow money for a car loan,but filled chapter 13 a year and a half ago.Can I still borrow ?

I know someone is gonna say that borrowing is what got into bankruptcy.That is partly true.Being layed off didn’t help either.We have never been late on a payment since filing and I’m not looking to borrow 20,000 but somewhere around 10,000 to buy a decent used car that will last.

only if approved by trustee.

If your chapter 13 has not been discharged, you will have to get permission from the trustee to take out any loan.
You might be better off making the vehicle you have last a little longer or just buying something cheap for cash.
